Welcome to Costessey Flower Club
Our meetings are held in Breckland Hall, Breckland Road, Costessey, Norwich, on the first Thursday of each month starting at 7.30pm.
The Club has a Committee of volunteers who meet at regular intervals to ensure the smooth planning and execution of the monthly meetings as well as undertaking some official roles such as President, Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The format of the monthly meetings usually includes a demonstration of flower arranging by an area or national demonstrator. The tradition of raffling off the arrangements made by the demonstrator remains, helping to support the funding of the clubs meetings.
At each meeting refreshments are provided following the demonstration enabling members to continue to socialise whilst viewing the arrangements close up.
The A.G.M. is held in the first quarter of the year and the tradition of a supper style event run by the committee still remains now.
During the summer months a visit to a garden or a garden party continue to prove popular with members.
The committee have instigated a regular newsletter for members which is emailed or handed out at meetings, and a library of editions can be found in our news archive. This gives everyone a chance to see pictures of events run by the club as well as acting as a useful reminder of key events in the area which they may be interested in.
Membership currently runs at around 60 members.
